You must have had one. Just a day but not like any other. From the very beginning it has all the symptoms of being a hell on earth.
You just have to keep a stiff upper lip and endure whatever it brings along. And, yes it is hard, but it does come to an end!
Here is a short list of what might happen during this long and torturing day:
Here is a short list of what might happen during this long and torturing day:
- You will most definitely lose or forget your key and will not be able to unlock the office door.Combined with your grumpy face and frustrating mood, this promises to be another of “those days”. Lay hopes for a colleague to come earlier, or just sit in front looking the same way as you feel – like a beggar. In this case you will be begging for the day to come to an end sooner.
- Already in the office make sure to stay away from hot drinks. One of the rules of these days is that you will either spill the burning liquid all over you or your keyboard. In both cases you will be seriously damaged. Try drinking water instead in a half-full paper cup. Try to stay away from glass and porcelain – you risk of breaking either and will have to pay for the professional carpet cleaning of your office.
- Check your chair before sitting. You do not want to fall on the floor like a total loser. Accidents should be foreseen not welcomed!
- Make a thorough list of your daily work duties and make sure to complete them all. As of rule this is going to be a very long busy day.
- The very best way to cope with the rising emotions such as nervous breakdown or hysteria is to practise deep breathing.
