- Persian cat. The homeland of this breed is Ancient Persia, as its name shows. This is the territory of present-day Iran. In the 16th century the breed was cultivated in Europe - first in Italy and then in other countries. Special interest in it has in England and the US, where in the 19th century began the most serious types of selections according to external characteristics. This graceful and sweet animal today enjoys great popularity around the world and won the charts as the most desirable pet at felinological exhibitions. Persian has a quiet nature, loving and submissive, it likes to sleep. Ideal companion seeking the attention of the proprietor, created to delight with purring and unobtrusive presence. It brings joy and gladness and it is a perfect choice for growing at home. This cat is extremely polite and has excellent hygiene habits. - Angora cat. Angora is known as one of the oldest breeds described in general. Its homeland are the territories of modern Turkey and Iran. The name comes from the ancient name of modern Ankara (Angora, Ancyra). It is very often categorized as Turkish Angora. There are preserved historical evidence that even in the 13th century annual exhibitions of Angora in Azerbaijan were held. In the centuries the breed spread throughout Minor Asia, Tibet and India. Nowadays it has slightly lost popularity, shifted from the Persian cat. But in Turkey this breed enjoys strong recognition and preference. Angora cats are exquisite, elegant and adorable pets. Smart, lively and observant, they adapt to life, as in the noisy city and the peaceful countryside. They are masters of the home (even during end of tenancy cleaning), but they are loyal to their owners. They love to flirt and sprucing up and they are very "handy". For them people say they have willfully "sense of humor".
