Believe it or not, the little guest bathroom can seem not only attractive, but spacious as well. You shouldn’t neglect it! There are some tricks you may use anytime – check out what we have prepared for you:
- If the bathroom door opens inwards, it will take a large part of the area. In this case it is better the direction of opening to be reversed;
- The free space under the sink can be used for installation of cabinets. Think practically and look for the way how each element in the bathroom can fit in the best possible way;
- Instead of a bathtub, which will take up half of your bathroom, choose one of the corners of the room and place the shower there. You may enclose the area with shower cabin. Transparent glass will create an illusion of spaciousness, as it will allow you to see both ends of the room. If you still want a tub, you’d better choose one which is combined with a shower;
- The interior design should be a strong point as well, so your guests will be impressed by it. The bathroom should look luxurious and simple at the same time. White ceramics, glass and terracotta are the most common materials used for modern bathroom furniture. Ware is also widely-used because of its durability and easy maintenance. We recommend it, especially if you live in a house rental and you know: someday you will face the end of lease cleaning;
- Remember that the small bathroom will look bigger, if you avoid dark colours and use bright tones and strong lighting in the room;
- Some people do not pay enough attention to the bath mats… or simply forget about them. But it is necessary to have them in front of the bathroom. And just like your fluffy rugs ‘receive’ regular carpet sanitising, the bath mats (and the whole bathroom indeed) need lots of care;
- Garden in the bathroom – at first glance this sounds unbelievable! In spite of the small size of the guest bathroom, if you are creative enough, having a bathroom ‘garden’ is no longer impossible. You may place beautiful orchids, lower palms and other green plants.
