These foods will help you reduce stress level

When people are under stress, their first reaction is to reach for their favorite food. Unfortunately, it is not always very healthy and sometimes makes us feel worse. Unhealthy diet can lead to high blood pressure, obesity and heart problems, which further increase the stress to which it is subjected our body. This vicious circle can be stopped if you turn to healthier foods. Instead of harmful chips or whole box of sweets, choose one of the foods that we present here below. They are not only better for your health, but also help you to cope more easily with stress and improve your mood. Check them out:
  • Cocoa / black chocolate. Usually we think desserts are unhealthy. However chocolate is too good to taste, to be useful, right? But dark chocolate is one of the healthiest desserts, which you can find - it is full of antioxidants, which are essential in the fight against stress! Eat a piece of this treat before you start your carpet sanitising and load with energy!
  • Tea. At the end of a hard day, one of the nicest things you can do is to jump in bed under a blanket with a cup of hot tea in one hand and a good book in the other. The tea contains theanine, an amino acid that reduces stress and helps you fall asleep more easily. To achieve best results, stop the tea that contains no caffeine. Chamomile tea, for example, is perfect for the end of an exhausting day. You can also offer a cup of tea to your end of tenancy cleaners after they finish the disinfecting. They will appreciate that.
  • Oranges. Surely you recognise that wonderful feeling you experience after drinking a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice when you have a cold, right? Vitamin C can do wonders to your body. It strengthens the immune system and makes you feel healthier. Vitamin C helps to reduce blood pressure and stress levels, making the orange juice a great addition to a healthy breakfast.
  • Salmon. Salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which according to a study by the University of Ohio, help to reduce stress levels by up to 20%.
