Stain solutions for rarely occurring spots

Being a housekeeper comprises many different skills. Except for hoovering, dish washing, dusting and doing the laundry, there are some other responsibilities. A whole “chapter” in home cleaning is represented by stains. Probably you often find methods of treatment of the most widespread stains.
Eventually, thanks to all these tips, you’re already an expert in treating some kinds of stains. For example: blood, coca-cola, chocolate, tomato sauce.

Therefore, in this article, we’ll pay attention at some other spots, those which occur rarely. Diligent housekeepers must be always prepared, so read carefully:

* How to clean an asphalt stain on your carpet? Necessary cleaning products are isopropyl rubbing alcohol and detergent. Firstly try to remove as much of the asphalt material through scraping with a dull knife. Then put some rubbing alcohol to a neat white cloth and accomplish a blotting motion till the nasty stain is removed. Be careful and do not admit the alcohol to penetrate into the backing, because it will destroy the latex bond. In case the spot is on the surface only, rub only in one direction at a time. You must never use a circular motion to eliminate the spot in order not to destroy the texture. You can stop if the spot is totally removed. If not, continue by applying a small quantity of detergent solution to the stain. By blotting motion, soak the detergent into the affected carpet area. Then rinse with tap water with the help of a spray bottle and blot to remove excess humidity. So, spray lightly with water, but do not blot this time. To conclude, apply pad of paper towels, brick and allow to dry. It’s not so difficult, right?!

* Clean a curry stain off your upholstery. Don’t despair if a curry stain happens! Equip yourself with a detergent, white vinegar and rubbing alcohol. Follow these steps for efficient upholstery cleaning and relax. You have to mix 1 tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar with 2 cups of cool water. Using a clean white cloth, sponge the stain with the detergent/vinegar solution. Just leave it on the stain for approximately 30 minutes. Don’t forget to blot every five minutes with a clean white cloth and some more of the solution. Then, sponge with cool water, blot until the liquid is entirely absorbed. Finally sponge the stain with rubbing alcohol; blot to entirely remove the stain.

* Carpet cleaning after spilling an egg yolk. What will you need? Simply ammonia and detergent. Firstly, remove as much of the stain by scraping with a blunt knife, then neutralise with an ammonia solution (1 tablespoon of clear household ammonia to 1/2 cup of water). Impregnate the annoying spot with the ammonia solution by using a spray bottle. Attention - do not wet backing. Then, blot with a white paper towel to remove excess moisture. After that, apply a small quantity of detergent solution to the spot. (To make efficace detergent solution mix 1/4 teaspoon of a hand dishwashing detergent which does not contain lanolin or bleach with 1 quart of water). Through blotting motions, make the detergent penetrate into the affected carpet area. If spot is successfully removed, continue applying detergent and blotting with a white paper towel until the stain is totally eliminated. Finally rinse with tap water using a spray bottle and blot to remove excess moisture. At the end, apply pad of paper towels and brick and allow to dry.
